Prof. Mahmood Yakubu hands over INEC Chairman to Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Mu’azu

The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) outgoing chairman, Professor Mahmud Yakubu has hand over the commission affairs to Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Mu’azu pending his reappointment confirmation by the Senate.

The commission disclose this in a post on it social media.

According to the post ” Prof. Mahmood Yakubu hands over to Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Mu’azu (Retired) to handle the affairs of the Commission pending the confirmation of the re-appointed INEC Chair at the Commission’s Head Quarters, Abuja.”

Recall that President Muhammad Buhari has late last month send names of Mahmud Yakubu to the Senate for confirmation as the Chairman of the commission following the expiration of his first term in the office as the boss of INEC.
