Lawyer Demand The Removal of Arabic Inscription On Nigeria Currency

Mr. Malcolm Omirhobo, a lawyer has dragged Nigeria Apex Bank to court demanding the removal of Arabic inscriptions in Nigeria currency.

The law suite file by the lawyer will be hear at Lagos Nigeria’s commercial city.

The lawyer demand the substitution of the Arabic inscriptions with one of popular Nigeria language, which is Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo.

In his reasons, the lawyer said the arabic inscription on Naira portrays Nigeria as an Islamic state, which is against Nigeria constitutional status of a secular state.

However, the central bank denied the inscriptions were a symbol or mark of Islam.
