The Enugu state government on thursday announced that it has commenced vaccination of 922,463 resident in the three council areas where outback had been confirmed.
The executive secetart ,Enugu state primary health care developement Agency (ENS-PHCDA) Dr George ugwu disclose that the council areas where vaccination had commenced are Nsukka,Igbo-Eze North and Isi-uzo.
Ugwu gave the breakdown of the number to be vaccinated as Igboeze North -333,551 residents,Nsukka- 398,095 residents and Isi-uzo-190,818 residents respectively.
He added that the figurr mentioned in each council area represent 85 percent of the entire population.
Ugwu said that the massive vaccination was meant for people between the ages of nine months and 44 years.
