Nigeria army allegedly assaulted a journalist working with voice of America.
The journalist identify as Grace Abdu was assaulted and arrested on Saturday in river State when she was interviewing residents of Oyibo community, over the alleged killing of innocent citizens by the army.
According to SR the Journalist was illegally detained by the soldiers for several hours.”
SR said “She went there around 11, so around 12pm, the soldiers saw her and arrested her. They also seized her equipment. She was kept at the Army Post in Oyigbo for several hours before they released her this evening,”.
Oyigbo has been a trouble area for the few month now, following clash between IPOB members and securities operatives.
