Some phone snatchers stabbd a 22-year-old man identified as Abdussalam Muhammad to death in Yakasai Quarters of Kano Municipal Area of Kano State on Friday, December 11.
According to mother of the deceased, some hoodlums broke into their house at about 3am and took her phone and that of her children before they went into the room were the victim was asleep.
They broke down the door and stabbed him in the abdomen. The victim was rushed to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital but was later confirmed dead.
She added that she called to inform her mother-in-law about the incident after she had shouted in prayers. Her neighbors however ran after the thieves, but they escaped.
It was learnt that one of the suspects have been arrested by the Kano State Police spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa who comfrimed the incident.
