Saudi Arabia Set Marriageable age to 18yrs and above, Ban Under age marriage

Saudi Arabia government has set the eligible age for lady to be married out to 18 years and above.

The Country Ministry of Justice also banned the underage marriage of persons below 18 years.

The Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Sheikh Walid Al-Samaani, issued the new directive in a circular sent to all the courts in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The new law is to take effect immediately.
