Omoko, APC Party Chairman Community Get New Transformer, after Many Years in Darkness – Courtesy Gov Bello

The community of Kogi LGA APC chairman, Alhaji Audu get new transformer as approved by the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

Development was disclose in statement release by Hassan, Media to Commissioner for Mineral and Natural Resources, Bashir Gegu.

Hassan wrote “Earlier today, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello approved transformer to the people of Omoko the country home of the Ag APC party chairman Kogi Local Government through the commissioner for solid minerals and natural resources, Chief Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu

The governor gave the executive order through the people’s commissioner to process it and get back to him as quickly as possible.

Electrifying Omoko community is a big plus to the people of Kogi Local Government, we remain indebted to the governor for his unending love, we would consolidate this gesture cum 2023 as usual the commissioner said.

Confirming the development, AS Political, as he gos by Facebook name, the Son of the Party Chairman said in response to the report that, the governor was in the community yesterday and he made  promise that the community will soon enjoyed electricity.

Omoko Community has been battling with issue of electricity for the past 15 years now.

The first development was in 2005 to 2007 when the former Chairman of the Local Government, Hon Ohinoyi Shaban, Alias Nocase intentionally left the community into darkness after providing transformer to almost all Community within the local Government.

Nocase intentionally Jump Omoko after issuing transformer to Chikara, and then proceed from Aseni his community down to others communities within the local government.

Since then, there are effort by the community and some individual who try to help to see the people of the community enjoyed electricity, but their efforts has not been yielding much result.

Until this recent intervention of the state governor, Yahaya Bello.
