President Buhari React to Oyo Market Hausa/Yoruba Clash that claim 10 Lives

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally speak on the recent crisis that took place in Oyo State.

The crisis which begin late last week, force the state governor, Seyi Makinde to declared curfew on the affected area.

Omokoshaban learn that despite the curfew, some hoodlums defied the curfew, and continued to set some shops belonging to the northerners ablaze.

Over 50 shops, and some truck conveying potatoes, tomatoes and Onion were burning down yesterday 14th of February 2021 in the morning.

Reacting to the incident via tweet, President Buhari said that his government will not allowed ethnic or religious group to cause disunity in Nigeria.

He said  “Our government will protect all religious and ethnic groups in Nigeria, whether majority or minority, in line with our responsibility under the constitution.
We will not allow any ethnic or religious groups to stoke up hatred and violence against other groups.

I appeal to religious and traditional leaders, as well as Governors and other elected leaders across the country, to join hands with the Federal Government to ensure that communities in their domain are not splintered along ethnic and other primordial lines.”
