Ripple Registers as Wyoming Business

Ripple Labs, the payments firm behind XRP, has now registered a business in Wyoming,Ripple Markets WY LLC’s status as a local business is listed as “active” after an initial filing in February 2020. As a limited liability company in Wyoming, according to records from the Wyoming Secretary of State.“More crypto companies are realizing Wyoming is a better domicile than Delaware due to our crypto-friendly laws,” Avanti Bank & Trust CEO Caitlin Long, who shared the news about Ripple’s move to Wyoming, commented on Twitter. Long is associated with the state legislature’s Select Committee on Blockchain, Financial Technology and Digital Innovation.However, Ripple is unlikely to move its headquarters to Wyoming from its current address in San Francisco, according to a report from Cointelegraph.
