Adamawa University Holds 3rd To 15th convocation ceremony

The Adamawa State University, ADSU Mubi has held its third to fifteenth convocation ceremony at the convocation square of the university in Mubi Saturday.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in his remarks offered the five best graduating students automatic employment at the Adamawa State University and overseas scholarship to further their education.

The Governor announced an Annual research Grant of twenty five million naira into the dedicated interest earning Account of the University which will be in the Annual Budget of the State as specific line for the next four years to be conferred
on qualified persons.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of ADSU Alhaji Auwal Tukur and Vice Chancellor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta said the institution was established in two thousand and two making the second state university established in Northern Nigeria.

The Chancellor of ADSU Alhaji Muhammad Seyoji Ahmed who is the Emir of Pindiga acknowledged that the institution has the enviable reputation of being the first state university in the Northeast.

During the event former Governor of Adamawa Mr Boni Haruna and Chancellor of ADSU who is the Emir of Pindiga, Alhaji Muhammad Seyoji Ahmed, received honorary Doctorate Degrees.

Among the dignitaries that attended the occasion are member house of reps michika,madagali honourable Zakaria Dauda Nyampa,speaker ADHA hon. Aminu Iya Abbas ,SSG Adamawa state Malam Bashir Ahmad,chief of staff professor Maxwell gidado, vice chancellor Mautech professor Abdullahi Liman Tukur,his Royal highness the Lamido of adamawa ably represented by the Sarkin matasan Adamawa Dr Aliyu Wakili Aliyu Boya Wakili among other top governments officials.
