‘Stop Portraying African Gods As Evil’ – Traditionalist To filmmakers

A Nigerian traditionalist has penned down some words to filmmakers.

According to this traditionalist, filmmakers portray the African gods and idols as evil adding that it leaves a bad impression on cultural beliefs.

In her view, mental colonialism is at play and even African producers follow suit and adding that the idea should be abolished and corrected.

Her post reads;

“If Afrikans want to act films about Satan, they’ll use Afrikan Gods as evil to make us think the Afrikan Gods are evil. But if they want to act films on Jesus or prophet Muhammad, they’ll European Gods so that our children will think their roots is evil. That’s mental colonialism.”
