Housing: Borno Acting Governor, Kadafur pays unscheduled visit to Njimtilo 500 housing estate

The Acting Governor governor of Borno state, Umar Usman Kadafur who is also the chairman Committee for the construction of 500 Housing Estate, has paid an unschedule inspection visit to the project site at Jimtilo village along Maiduguri-Damturu Road.

The Acting Governor directed that all the contractors who have either not reported to site, absconded or are still on DPC level their contract be revoked and made them to refund the money they have earlier collected to the committee with immediate effect.

While commending the members of the committee and site engineers for ensuring quality and standard in all the projects so far, Kadafur lamented that some contractors were left far behind especially those who are still on DPC level.

Kadafur also appealed to the site engineers to improve on strict monitoring and supervision of the project and report to him any problem they might have come across for immediate solution.

Later in an interview with press men after inspection on the general assessment of the project the Acting Governor gave a pass mark by saying so far so good.
