Despite calling for his resignation over his comment, alleged link to terrorist organisations in the world, Pantami has bad award of the outstanding ministers in Nigeria.
The Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has been conferred with the Award as MOST OUTSTANDING MINISTER OF THE YEAR by People and Power Magazine.
The accolade according to the magazine is in recognition of the laudable policies developed by the Ministry under the supervision of the Honourable Minister such as the revolutionary NIN –SIM Data linkage, the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy for a Digital Nigeria, among others.
Recall that there was an all uproar in Nigeria recently following the audio clip which Pantami declares his support for terrorist, far back in the year 2000.
The minister of communication has admitted to his mistake, which he equally beg for forgiveness stating that he said that when he was on his youthful age.
Desperate that Nigerians has been calling for his immediate sack or resignation.
But the presidency issues a statement stating that they are in support of him, stating that nothing Nigerians will do or say that will make them sack pantami as a minister.
According to a statement by Garba Shehu, who is the senior special adviser on media and publicity to the president said that pantami is been hunted because he is fighting terrorism is in Nigeria or crime in Nigeria with his ideas in technology.
