Meet A Retired Army Officer of 50s, 60s, that still alive and army Denied Him pension, and Gratuity

The story of a retired army officer who serve Nigeria before and after Nigerian civil war that was denied pension and Gratuity despite his sacrifice.

Grandsons to former army officer identify as Sergeant Muazu Umaru Alfa from Wuya Kede in Niger State share the story of how the former non commission officer serve the country till he retired, but never get Gratuity nor pension.

Muhammad Alfa Muhammad on his post he share on Facebook commending soldier who is serving the country and those who has paid the supreme price, said his grandfather was a soldier of 50s and 60s.

According to him, the only evidence was the military uniform the man kept like a treasure to him in his room.

Muhammad said “NIGERIAN ARMY.
TODAY WAS A DAY I SHED TEARS HEARING HOW MANY PAID THE SUPREME PRICE TO THEIR COUNTRY, OUR COUNTRY NIGERIA.
THIS IS SERGEANT MUAZU UMARU ALFA FROM WUYA KEDE NIGER STATE. (GRANDFATHER) HE WAS ENLISTED INTO NIGERIAN ARMY EARLY 50s, 60s as he said, HE SERVED IN THE NIGERIAN ARMY BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE NIGERIAN CIVIL WAR.
THIS UNIFORMS ARE KEPT LIKE TREASURES WITH HIM, TODAY I TOOK THE COURAGE TO ASK HIM ABOUT THEM AND HE WAS SO HAPPY TO HEAR HIS GRANDSON ASKING HIM OF LIFE IN THE MILITARY. HE IS STILL ALIVE AND HEALTHY.

MAY THE SOUL OF OUR OFFICERS REST IN PERFECT PEACE AND SAFETY UPON THOSE IN THE BATTLE FIELDS.

NO PENSION, NO GRATITUDE AND NO NOTHING FOR HIS LIKES, WHILE THE SENIOR OFFICERS ARE BEEN PAID.
