Actor, Mofe Duncan, who trended on Monday after sharing a photo of a bunch of plantains he got for N6000 on his Instagram page has slammed those doubting the actual price of the food item.
His comment section was filled with lots of comments doubting his claim of buying the bunch of plantains for that amount, even with the increase in the prices of foodstuffs.
Reacting to the comments, he said, “My extreme addiction and craving for plantain made the blogs. After driving 1 hour to find plantain, N6000 was a small token to pay for MY OWN HAPPINESS. Yet… I dey lie. Na wa o! Being famous is a curse …sometimes. D bloody plantain no even sweet sef! Na dat one dey pain me pass! ”
He added, “Lol, so plantain is causing problem like this? Country has issues, celebrities keep quiet, they are accused, they make a statement, they are called liars.
“It wasn’t their money, it wasn’t their plantain, yet they have ideas that I dey lie. Okay.”
