American Association for the advancement of science (AAAS), socio-psychological Prze an annual prize of $1000 granted by the AAAS for meritorious essay in socio-psychological inquiry.

The price was established in 1952 by the late Arthur F. Bentley and is offered to encourage studies and analyse of social behaviour based on explicitly stated assumption or postulate which lead to experimentally verifiable conclusions or deduction and which is intended to encourage the development and applications of dependable methodology and analogous to the methods that have proved so fruitful in natural science.
