Kalu Ajah: “The US has peculiar laws; I did not write them

For instance, you can sue Shell in the US for Offenses Shell committed in Nigeria. Nestle was just sued in the US for offences alleged to have been engaged in the Ivory Coast.

If you pick up your phone in Aba and call a US citizen in Alabama and commit fraud, you have committed fraud in the US. It does not matter if you were in Aba.

There is a case in the US where a Nigerian drug dealer sold drugs to Americans while he was based in Liberia (not too sure). The US Marshals extradited him to the US. His defence was that he never went to the US; the US courts said he was liable.

This is super cops case; he has broken many laws; first and most important, this was a conspiracy; thus, the rules used to take down the Mob are applied here.

He was a co-conspirator in a fraud scheme. He Illegally arrested and falsely imprisoned another person to enable the crime to proceed. He received stolen goods, by Transfer, by Wire. Thus he enabled Transfer of stolen goods, Profiting from proceeds of a crime. Money laundering and Wire fraud

He can only make noise here.

Any bank or person doing any business with him is now immediately dragged into the net. Any phone call he makes is now recorded. He can’t transfer cash or receive cash…..

Why is he guilty? No, he is innocent under US law, the indictment is just one side talking, but I pity the person whose company or bank account pays cash or checks to Super Cop.

I worked in a bank when Abacha was President; Abacha’s banker (who is now a Governor) was not allowed to operate any bank account back then. This was before the deal. He was asked to come and close his account and go.

My advice for Super Cop is this

  1. Lawyer up.
  2. Go and state your case, write if necessary, make restitution; this matter is not going away; you have a US warrant on your head.
  3. Go snitch on someone, get a reduced sentence. Remember, it’s a conspiracy; even your boys are in trouble. One of them can stroll into US Embassy, say he has evidence against you, and he will be flown to the US to testify and relocate.

It’s a bad thing you got yourself into.”
