Recent discovery by University Calabar medical student who was given the bodies of his best friend for medical Practical has continue to generates different reaction from Nigerians.
Most the comment from Nigerians bland the government of allowing extrajudicial killing.
One comment by Tee as he go by Facebook name said in western world people donates their own body for medical procedure.
He said
In developed countries, people signed and voluntary hand over their bodies to science for knowledge extraction. For instance in Queens University London, over 30 people annually sign the voluntary form that when they die, their family should hand over their corpse to the institution.
Some even sign that if they die of accident, their body parts that will be of use to the living should be harvested and use for benefits of others.
But in Africa due to cultural and religion, people do not donate their body or parts
The cadever we have in medical schools are supposed to be criminal condemn by Court to be kill either by hanging or firing squad but many of them are innocent people kill by our reckless security agents and do aware with the corpse without informing their families; example of such is the killing that took place at Lekki Tollgate during #EndSARS when those corpses were do away with without the deceased families be informed.
The still many families whose relatives went for #EndSarsProtests without returning home, whose family can’t acertain if their relatives are still alive somewhere or death
