Indian Couple Journey back To India After Serving Borno State Govt for 39yrs

After 39 years of active service to the Borno state Government, Mr. S Shaukat Ali and his wife Mrs Hamida Shaukat Ali pave a good bye to Borno And set to join family in india.

Their unalloyed commitment to work and sacrifice for more than 39 years was recognize by his Excellency Prof Engr Babagana Umara Zulum who organized a send forth party in their honor and was attended by their former students and well wishers from the Education sector.

Mrs Shaukat Ali Born on 23/05/1939 join the service of the Borno state Government as Education officer on 2/2/1982 posted to Government College as a mathematics teacher together with his wife Hamida teaching same subject from 1982 to date. In 2004, Mr Shaukat and wife obtained their Msc in mathematics from the University of Maiduguri.

The couple teachers who are indians by Birth have served the Borno state Government with diligence and dedication.

In their addresses during the sendforth dinner, the Commissioner for Education Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe and The Chairman Borno state Teaching service board Prof. Sulaiman Bello testified the selfless services and dedication of the couple at the Government college Maiduguri adding that they have taugh alot of prominent personalities as students whom most of them are now highly placed across the nation.

In his remarks, Governor Zulum appreciated Mr. and Mrs. Shaukat Ali for their selfless service to the state in the educational sector as they have played a vital role in the development of the education sector in the state.

While in active service, Mr Shaukat held the position of Exam officer, HOD Mathematics and participated in writing a number of education materials geared towards impacting sound mathematical knowledge to our students despite the security challenges couple with hot weather condition of Borno.

The send forth is part of line up of activities to Mr Shaukat and family and to thank them for this age long sacrifice to Borno and the Education sector.

Both couples are going, but their legacies and humility will remain fresh in the minds of his students like me personally as they inspired us alot.
