Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki said has plan to recruit 2,000 workers into Edo State public service before the expiration of his second term.

The governor made this known on his Facebook page, after addressing newly recruited workers in the state on Saturday 11th of September 2021 in Benin City.

The governor in his address also charge the new employee to be committed to their duties.

He Said:

I have charged the newly recruited personnel into the state’s civil and public service to be dedicated and committed in the discharge of their duties, contributing significantly to the realization of the government’s Making Edo Great Again (MEGA) agenda.

I gave the charge while delivering remarks at the closing ceremony of the on-boarding programme for the new workers employed into the Edo State Civil and Public Service, at the John Odigie-Oyegun Training Centre, in Benin City.

The focus and plan of my administration is to recruit 2,000 workers into the service before the end of my second term: This will be another major transformation in the state.

During the ceremony, I urged the new employees to be fearless in carrying out their responsibilities in their various offices, as their appointment is strictly on merit. They owe their employment to nobody as nobody brought them in; but God made it possible, and the need to deliver services to Edo people.
