Police Recovered Stolen Vehicle From Abuja, in Ogun State

A car stolen from Abuja has been recovered by Rapid Response Squad (RRS) units of Nigerian Police force.

According to the statement posted on the verified Facebook page of the units, the car which alleged to be Stolen by the owner Driver identify as Bamidele 3 days after the purchase, was taken to Ogun State and sold at the rate of N500,000 to one Abiodun.

The post read:

Operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS), last Thursday intercepted a Toyota Camry 2010 model stolen in Abuja two Sundays ago from being sold to a buyer in Sango, Ogun State.

The vehicle, which was purchased by its owner three days before it was handed over to her driver, was driven to Lagos after the driver had dropped the owner at her Church, in Garki, Abuja.

The driver, whose name was given as Bamidele sold the Toyota car in Marwa Ghetto, Lekki for a sum of N500,000:00.

The new buyer, identified as Abiodun was moving the car to Sango, Ogun State after depositing N120,000 with Bamidele when RRS Intercepted the car.

The owner had been contacted and vehicle handed over to the station where she lodged complaint of the stolen vehicle.
