2022 Emblem I Launch is sign of our resolve to say no to divisions Of one Nigeria – Buhari at COP26

President Muhammadu Buhari said he was given an opportunity to explain what 2022 emblem stand for at COP26.

Buhari said in a post made available on his Facebook page, he told them that the emblem is sign of Nigerians unanimously agree to stay as one Nigeria without division.

Today at #COP26, I had an unexpected opportunity to highlight the gallant sacrifices our troops are making on our behalf.

The lady asked me about the Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem pinned to my chest. It was with great pride that I explained that it is a symbol to remember and Honour our Armed Forces veterans, and especially all who have paid the supreme sacrifice for peace and security in Nigeria.

You will recall that a week ago in Abuja we formally launched the Emblem for the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration.

On that occasion I said: “The emblem which I will launch shortly is not only a sign of the sacrifices and blood shed by officers and men of the Armed Forces for peace and security in our country. It is also a sign of our resolve to remain united as a nation and confront any challenges we may face. It is a sign of our resolve to say no to divisions and embrace one another as a united indivisible country.”

May the labour of our heroes for our fatherland never be in vain.
