President Buhari Unveiled Worlds Largest Rice Pyramid in Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari has today unveiled world largest rice pyramid in Abuja.

The development was announced by Bashir Ahmed, Personal assistant on new Media to the President.

Bashir in tweet says that the project is a collaboration of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN with Rice farmers association of Nigeria, RIFAN.

Bashir said

President @MBuhari unveils world’s largest Rice Pyramids this morning in Abuja. The rice pyramids project is a collaboration of the CBN with Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN).

Since inauguration in 2015, the CBN’s Anchor Borrowers Programme has increased the average yield of rice per hectare from 1.8 metric tonnes to 5 metric tonnes and enabled 95% reduction of our annual rice import bill from 1.5 billion dollars in 2015 to now 18.5 million dollars.
