Harrison Gwamnishu BRIEF Biography

Harrison Gwamnishu was born 17th July 1989, had his primary education at Enugu Iyi Primary School Ubulu Uku, proceeded to Santa Maria College and Atta Boys Secondary School for my secondary school education.

A former Awaiting Trial Prisoner, a victim of Federal SARS (SCORPION SQUAD IKEJA headed by Abba Kyari), unlawfully and wrongfully incarcerated in four different prisons in Nigeria where he spent Four years. He was charged for Conspiracy, Armed Robbery, Attempted murder and Possession of FireArms.

During his four years in detention, Harrison started advocating for poor prison inmates by contributing money for their medical treatment and paying legal fees. 2015, Harrison was Discharged of all four count charges from a Delta State High court.

After his released from prison custody, He needed a platform to rescue, rehabilitate innocent youths he left behind in prison. He became a State Coordinator of Stephen and Solomon Foundation a Non Governmental Organization, appointed State Coordinator Joint Legal Action Aids, a human rights advocacy group.

Harrison was among 1000 young Africans leaders honoured with the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship award in United States for his numerous selfless service to NIGERIANS.

Harrison has been featured in thousands of online media , mainstream media and press media for his doggedness and great achievement in the fight against Injustice and promoting human rights in Nigeria.

His return to Nigeria from United States, Harrison Gwamnishu founded Behind Bars Initiative, the now known fast growing Human Rights Organization providing support, free legal services to victims of Human Rights abuse and has facilitated release of more than 1000 unlawfully detained persons from the hands of security agencies and working relentlessly to change the system and attributes that allows this abuses to continue.

Harrison Gwamnishu is the Chief Executive officer, HarryTech Security that deals on sales and installation of spy camera, CCTV camera, car DashCam, car tracking etc.

Harrison Gwamnishu is the Chief Executive officer, HarryTech Processing into processing of premium Garri known as ANIOMA GARRI.

Harrison Gwamnishu is the Chief Executive officer, HarryTech Rides whose services are car hire and car rental.

GOVERNMENT APPOINTMENT

Harrison Gwamnishu was nominated, appointed and inaugurated as Member State Judicial Panel of Inquiry

Harrison Gwamnishu was nominated, appointed and inaugurated as member Delta State Human Rights Protection Committee chaired by Delta State Governor.

Harrison Gwamnishu was nominated, appointed and inaugurated as member Delta State Justice Sector Reform Team.

NON GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION

2018, Harrison Gwamnishu won a collaboration grant to partner with a kenyan MWF fellow where he traveled and secure the freedom of five Nigerians detained for overstay.

2019 Harrison Gwamnishu led his team and rescue 15 year old Chinwe forced into Child marriage in Ihiala Anambra State who is now in care of Anambra State Government #RetrieveChinwe

2019 Harrison Gwamnishu led his team and rescued 14 year old Ebube forced into child marriage with a 65 year old man in Nnewi. She was fully rehabilitated and offered scholarship by Hilary Ibegbulem Foundation. #RetrieveEbube

Harrison Gwamnishu has used his platform to raise funds for sick people, school dropout and for business owners.

2022, Harrison Gwamnishu launched a live intervention program Talk2Harrison where he advocates for vulnerable people.

Harrison Gwamnishu has a proven track record of not just advocating for the rights and welfare of prison inmates but has advocated the rights of oppressed Nigerians whose rights have been violated by the Nigeria Police and other Security agencies.
