Lady Whose Father Died In Ondo Catholic Church Attack By Unknown Gunmen Laments Experience

A lady whose father died in the Sunday attack by gunmen on a catholic church in Ondo State has described the episode as unbelievable.

According to her, both her parents attend the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State in which many worshippers were killed during an attack by gunmen on Sunday.

She lamented that she would have accepted her fate if it was a sickness that killed her father but for her dad to have been murdered in a church where he went to worship God means “Nigeria has killed me.”

She also lamented the many other innocent souls that were murdered during the attack.

“The moment I heard about it, I knew my parents were not likely to survive,” she said as quoted by FIJ.

“My parents hardly miss church and always sit at the back. My dad, in particular, he was the Chairman of the Catholic Men Organisation, so he never missed church.”

Continuing, she wailed: “Nigeria has killed me! Nigeria has killed me!!

“I cannot believe this is happening to me. If my dad was sick, I would accept my fate. But to have been shot in church just like that?”
