Breaking: Court Struck out case Against two men arrested In Lokoja last year for Protesting against Buhari Govt

TODAY AGAIN HUMANITY WON!

On the 5th of April 2021, two youth anti-Buhari activists, Emmanuel Larry and Victor Anene Udoka, were arrested in Lokoja for allegedly pasting Buhari must Go poster.

They were tortured by political thugs loyal to Governor Yaya Bello and his deputy and were remanded in Kabba prison for 78 days, to waste away, while the Kogi State government embarked, albeit vaingloriously, on heavily investing Kogi citizens’ scanty resources on prosecuting them in court, through Kogi State ministry of justice.

As part of chambers’ humanitarian outreach, we took up the case pro bono in 2021. We have been in court since then and Benjamin Obilor the counsel representing our office had given a good fight through these months of the desperate moves of the Kogi State government to send these youth patriots back to jail.

Today, 14th July 2022, the Court struck out this inglorious charge, discharging these youth activists.

I think it’s important I mention this, Omoyele Sowore may become the president of this country one day and he may not, to me this won’t really count at the end. What will count for me, is his sacrifice at the risk of personal peril, standing up for the weak and vulnerable youth of this country, regardless of differences in tribe and tongue, at every point of their tribulations in the hands of powers and principalities in high places. These two youths would have been wasted and forgotten in the deepest part of Kogi dungeon if not for him who alerted the world and disabled the evil plan. History shall reward you égbon.

(Our office won’t reject a gift of a beautiful Kogi girl for this two consecutive victories against oppression in Kogi in two days. Regrettably Obilor is getting married in August, so he is taken already and I have been customised long ago by an Osun/Apoi woman, so I am a no go area. But them we can keep the gift damsel in case of any incasity. No better way to start a vacation!)
