Nigeria Gets €25 million French Agency Grant For Northwest Electricity

Nigeria has received fresh €25 million grant from French Development Agency for North-west corridor, Native Reporters learnt.

In a tweet observed by Native Reporters, the grant will be used to develop electricity projects in North-west of Nigeria.

As shared by Prince Clem Ikanade Agba who represented finance minister;

On behalf of @NigeriaGov, today, I signed a grant agreement of €25 million with the French Development Agency (AFD) for the Northern Corridor Project, jointly funded by the European Union and AFD.

The Northern Corridor Project is being implemented by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (@TCN_NIGERIA) and aims to strengthen the electricity network in the North-west zone and improve access for the population.

Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, Kebbi, Sokoto, Kano, Jigawa will benefit from €25 million french electrication grant.
