VP Osinbajo speak on Climate Change

His words read:

The most consequential subject globally in the next few decades will be Climate Change.

As we discuss this critical topic and potential solutions, the most important of which is to reduce carbon emissions and transition to green, renewable energy, we must always keep other indices in mind, such as combating extreme poverty, particularly in African countries, which are the lowest emitters of carbon today, accounting for less than 1% of total CO2 emissions.

These were my thoughts as the keynote speaker at the 60th anniversary of the Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) of the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), where the theme of discuss was Nigeria’s transitioning into green energy.
