JusticeForAdegoke: Hotel receptionist bags two years imprisonment

The receptionist on duty at Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, Osun State, on the day late Timothy Adegoke lodge into the hotel, Adedeji Adesola, has been sentenced to two years imprisonment.

She was sentenced by the Osun State Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, on Wednesday, May 31, after being found guilty of manufacturing evidence.

Recall that Dr Rahman Adedoyin, owner of the hotel and two other workers were found guilty of killing Adegoke in November 2021 and were sentenced to d£ath by hanging on Tuesday, May 30.

Justice Ojo in her judgement said, “Having carefully considered the allocution statement of the convict’s counsel and the submission of the prosecution on the need to temper justice with mercy in respect of the convict, coupled with her sober posture throughout the duration of the trial.

I am equally being mindful of the circumstances surrounding the case of the defendant in this matter and not being unmindful of section 411 (2b)(3) of the law on this case, I hereby sentence you, Adedeji Adesola to two years imprisonment starting from the first day of your arrest”.
