The outgoing Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Tuesday, changed his Twitter bio to reflect that he had left the office.
Ambode’s verified Twitter handle, which hitherto bore his designation as the Governor of Lagos State, has been changed to “Official Twitter account of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, the Former Governor of Lagos State.”
Ambode’s tenure is expected to come to an end on Wednesday, after the swearing-in of the Governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
However, Ambode had already handed over governance of the state to him on Tuesday, ahead of the swearing-in scheduled to hold at Tafawa Balewa Square.
