Woman and Her Four Accomplices Apprehended For Beating Her Step-son To Death Over N100k

Policemen belonging to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command have arrested a woman for her participation in beating her step-son to death.

The woman identify as Christiana Wilson hail from Eket LGA, allegedly conspired with four others to murder her 19-year-old stepson who is identified as Edidiong Wilson.

Akwa Ibom state Commissioner of Police, Andrew Amiengheme who who confirm the report to newsmen said that the suspects has confessed to the crime.

On the part of the woman, she stated that sometime in the month of September 2020, she gave her step-son the sum of N100,000 which was part of the proceeds she got after she sold her late husband’s vehicle, to keep for her.

However, when she demanded the money from the deceased, he told her that he saved the money in a micro-finance bank in Eket.

She added that the boy didn’t give her the money and this made her contact her son-in-law who is identified as Saviour Kufre Peter, who came with other guys to abduct the boy.

They then took him to a bush where they beat him to death and buried the body. After burying the boy, they later went back to exhume the decomposed body, cut off the head, and buried it separately on December 30, 2020, at about 7:00 pm on the grounds that the ghost was disturbing them and they then fled to Ondo State.
