Young Sir Shina Peters met by his mother, Victoria Asake Peters, friends and families at the Lagos airport upon his return from the UK in 1972. He was part of the band that accompanied Prince Adekunle, on his first music concert tour of the UK.
He left Adekunle to form Shina Adewale, a band with Segun Adewale. However, the duo soon split. After releasing many albums with Segun Adewale through the 1980s, Shina Peters went on to form his own band, “Sir Shina Peters & His International Stars”.
Sir Shina Peters and his International Stars released different Albums including the famous “Ace” (Afro-Juju Series 1) in 1989. The album, which was released under CBS Records of Nigeria, went double platinum.
On January 21, 2021, he has ordained a Bishop at a Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Iju, Lagos.
