Calling on foreign powers to Help Nigeria’s over insecurities is unpatriotic – Gov Masari of Katsina

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari has said that those prominent Nigerian calling on the international body to help Nigeria during this insecurities period are unpatriotic.

The governor made this known on Sunday, in his Sallah message to the people of Katsina and Nigeria.

In the Eid-el-Kabir message send to his Director-General, Media, Abdul Malumfashi was in response to the recent call by Some Prominent Nigerian who are pleading with the international body to help Nigeria as insecurities getting worst each day pass by.

Masari was quoted as saying, “As a sovereign nation, Nigeria deserves the respect of foreign nations whatever their status on the global stage may be.

“For any compatriot to wilfully call on foreign powers to meddle in the internal affairs of Nigeria is to display the highest level of lack of patriotism.

“No responsible citizen, least of all, those who are the foremost beneficiaries of the commonwealth, will encourage foreign powers to interfere in the internal affairs of their nation, regardless of its adversities.”

Katsina state is currently one of worst State were Bandits operate freely.

The governor has in past visited Bandits leader in many occasions, had a negotiation with the Bandits, pay them ransom to stop Kidnapping, but his efforts didn’t yield any fruitful results.
