Lawyers Arrested During Testimony At Presidential Panel Probing Magu Released by EFCC

Two attorneys arrested through the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission whilst testifying earlier than the retired Justice Ayo Salami-led Presidential Panel internal Aso Villa in the ongoing probe of suspended Acting Chairman of the anti-graft commission, Ibrahim Magu, have been released.

The two have been taken away to forestall them from further testifying before the panel, which has been accused of bias in opposition to Magu.

The lawyers, Victor Giwa and Hadjia Fatima Hassan, were granted bail from the EFCC custody on Thursday night after they were asked to produce grade a stage 12 officer of the Federal provider as surety.

The Salami-led panel is probing the things to do of the agency underneath Magu.

Magu used to be alleged to have mishandled recovered loot and offered seized belongings to his associates.
