USED OF AMOXICILLIN

 

Register Names: Amoxil, Clamoxil 

Function: is an antibacterial Drugs

Antibacterial: any drugs or medicine use to prevent, inhibit or treat bacterial infection.

 

Usage

 Amoxicillin is used to treat the following bacterial infection;

1. Respiratory and ENT infection. The infection which affect the respiratory tract and ENT are;

Pneumonia

Sinusitis

Otitis media

Streptococcal tonsillitis

2. Stomatoloic Infection.
3. Urinary tract infection (cystitis)
4. Gastrointestinal and biliary infection
5. In case of Infection cause by Helicobacter pylori, amoxicillin should be use with the following antifungal drugs, e.g. Omeprazole, Metronidazole and Tinidazole
6. Leptospirosis
7. Also is a parenteral to oral switch therapy.

 

 

Availability

250mg and 500mg in tablet form or capsules

250mg in dispersible tablet

And in powder for oral suspension 125mg/5ml
