Error in in measuring Analytical chemistry

Introduction to Analytical chemistry

As the name implied, analytical chemistry is that field of chemistry that specialized in both qualitative analysis, investigating what constituent of a given sample, and quantitative analysis, investigating what amount of quantities present in a given sample. In another way qualitative analysis can also we called primary analysis, while quantitative analysis also can be called secondary analysis, on the qualitative analysis, the analyzer is to find all details about unknown sample given for analysis, why in quantitative analysis, the analyzer is given a known sample to analyze the remaining information which is to be known about the element. In the cause of reporting quantitative measurement of an experiment, there is always be a normal or abnormal variation follow the measurement, this variation is called, Error. We are going to focus strictly on error in quantitative analysis in analytical chemistry.

Definition of Error

Error can be define as a controllable and uncontrollable variation examine in the process of comparing measure value to true value in an investigative experiment. This affect the authenticity and precision of the measure value to true value. This error and divided into two which are;

  1. Radom error
  2. Systematic error
