Quality control in clinical Chemistry

A standard laboratory should have highly organized procedures, to granted that the test result issues out are correct. In other to adhere to these, that is where quality control come into play. Quality control is a word uses to provide explanations of the test control include inside and outside of the laboratory to make sure reliable result is qualitatively assured.

Quality control are divided into three part which are;

  1. Pre-analytical: these are quality control applied before the commencement of the analysis.

  2. Analytical: these are quality control applied to ensure standard procedures of each test are follow.

  3. Post-analytical: these are quality control applied after the analysis, before the test result is send to the relevant authorities.
