Buhari received PTAC reports imminent increase in the National Minimum Wage.

President Muhammad Buhari was yesterday received reported from committee Inaugurated, on research of the implementation of National minimum wage.

The committee was inaugurated by president Muhammad Buhari on the 9 of January 2019, tagged Presidential Technical Advisory Committee on the Implementation of the National Minimum Wage (PTAC).

The committee was headed by Bismarck Rewane, the purpose of the committee is to investigate on how best to fund the additional costs of implementing the imminent increase in the National Minimum Wage.

According to the president Muhammad Buhari who reveals these on his Twitter handle said “On Jan 9, 2019, I inaugurated the Presidential Technical Advisory Committee on the Implementation of the National Minimum Wage (PTAC). The PTAC was mandated to advise on how best to fund the additional costs of implementing the imminent increase in the National Minimum Wage.

Today the PTAC, chaired by Bismarck Rewane, and comprising other experienced economists and administrators from the private sector, as well as Federal Govt officials, and a Representative of the Governors’ Forum, submitted its report”.
