Gunmen has killed 15 people and injuries 11 in Numa Kochu Village in Nasarawa State.
According to the information, the gunmen was said to have invaded the community as some people living in the community were having birthday party.
Confirming the incident, Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations in the command, Umar Nadada told Channels Television on Monday that the incident happen on Sunday night.
Deputy Commissioner of Police in the state further reveal that the attack happen in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.
Channel television report that “some residents of the community were having a birthday party when the gunmen attacked them. The DCP disclosed that a pregnant woman was among those killed while the injured sustained several degrees of wounds. He said the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the General Hospital in Akwanga and those injured were also receiving treatment there. Nadada noted that normalcy has been restored in the community following the deployment of adequate security personnel”.
