BARRYMADE IS NOT AYINDE BARRISTER’S DAUGHTER

Fuji music king, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Omogbolahan a.k.a. K1 de Ultimate, has said that the female Islamic singer, Alhaja Modinat Ashabi a.k.a. Barrymade (Barrytide), is not a biological daughter of the late Fuji icon, Alhaji (Dr.) Sikiru Ayinde Barrister.

The revelation in an online television interview by K1 de Ultimate comes as a shocker to many who since Barrymade launched to the limelight, had accorded her due respects, believing that Alhaji Ayinde Barrister fathered her, especially given the fatherly care and affection Barrymade enjoyed from ‘Mr. Fuji’, as Dr. Barrister was fondly called, till he passed on in December, 2010.

In fairness to K1, he did not just stir the hornet’s nest on Barrymade’s paternity, The Status had observed that his interviewer it was who asked him to react to a certain press interview Barrymade purportedly granted where she allegedly referred to the ‘Talazo’ music exponent as “my father’s dry cleaner”.

Reacting, a visibly emotional K1 had been matured with his statement, suggesting rhetorically, “which of her fathers, is it Nuru or Sikiru?” Continuing, the Fuji star explained that Alhaji Nurudeen Aremu, the immediate junior brother of Alhaji Barrister, was actually Barrymade’s biological father.

“Nuru who is Barrymade’s father is my friend. If Barrymade could be so disrespectful to say ‘I was her father’s dry cleaner, she was perhaps talking about Alhaji Barrister which is true and for which I consider myself the happiest and luckiest man on earth for serving my boss and father-figure to the best of my ability. But Nuru is her father.”
