TOTO Local Government: CLARIFICATION ON TURUNKU CHIEFDOM.
If you can recall the state Assembly first passed a Bill on 24th May creating 4 additional chiefdoms which is: Gudi, Musha, Gitata and Gude chiefdom with third class status.
On 28th of may the state assembly again passed the bill to create additional 12 new chiefdom which are; Kodape chiefdom is to be created out of Karu, Laminga out of Nasarawa Emirate, Ashige out of Assakio chiefdom.
Others Yelwa, Agaza, Kwara, Tudun Wada, Dari to be created out of Toto, Keana, Kadarko, Karu and Kokona chiefdoms respectively. Amba, Iggah, Sabon-Gari, Kanje Chiefdoms are to be created out of Kokona, Eggon Eholo, Keffi and Awe chiefdoms respectively.
Turunku chiefdom was not among the bills sent to the state assembly by the former governor for approval by the lawmakers and will never be among inshallah.
If they claim it tell them to give you their source of the information, because no national daily or television stations included Turunku in the newest chiefdoms created by the state assembly and signed by the former governor of the state.
Am calling on the law abiding citizens of Toto local government to disregard the A4 paper privately typed announcement going round that Turunku chiefdom has been created among the 16 new Christendoms created by the state assembly and signed by the former governor of the state.
May Allah continue to protect and guide our people especially those who are on the defense line with the aim of protecting the Territorial integrity of our land from the hand of mischievous elements in our opposition traditionally.
