Kogi Monarch make U-turn From Gov. In die minute Backed Usman Jibril

More trouble for Gov. Yahaya Bello as traditional rulers in Kogi state, comprising Kogi west, kogi central and kogi east, in the last minute revert their support for Governor Bello, and declared support for Vice Admiral Jibrin Usman (retd) as the candidate of their choice for the November 16 governorship election.

The report disclose that, the traditional rulers make U-turn from supporting Bello as they have agree to present Usman to President Muhammad Buhari as the anointed candidate, to their surprise, Bello Block them on the way Going to Abuja, harassed, and intimidate them.

A source who disclose the information said that the traditional rulers in the various region of kogi state had a meeting last week which they discussed about their preferred candidate for kogi Governorship election, at the end of the meeting, they unanimously agreed to adopt Vice Admiral Jibrin Usman as the preferred candidate after being frustrated of Bello’s government.

The source said, “In his usual Brooklyn Movies style, Governor Bello shouted on, bullied and cajoled them into reneging on their earlier resolution and changing the name of their agreed candidate from the Vice Admiral to that of him (Bello) and then presenting same to the Presidency.”

A traditional ruler from Kogi West who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that their original plan was hijacked by the governor.

“We met, discussed, and agreed to present the erstwhile Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Jibrin Usman because we deem him as the only aspirant with the experience and capability to rescue the State from its current precarious predicament. We have always been bullied and affronted by the present governor who has reduced us to insignificant chiefs before our people. He bullied and threatened us to change our choice and we had no option than to do his bid. To obey is better than to be deposed”,.

Meanwhile the report of the amount Bello want to bribe the traditional rulers is not clear at the time of filing these information, but we had from a reliable source that about N500 million was earmarked by Yahaya Bello to be injected on his endorsement project and name to be presented to President Muhammadu Buhari as the prefered candidate of the traditional rulers.
