PDP orders fresh state congress in Kogi

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee give order for fresh congress to be elected into new officers of its Kogi State Chapter.

Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, The National Publicity Secretary of the party disclosed this while addressing News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lokoja on Friday.

In his statement Ologbondiyan said the reason for the order, is because the tenure of the present state officers will come to an end on July 22nd 2019.

Meanwhile, he said local government and ward levels of the party, will be excluded from the Congress.

He further said that guidelines, and the date which Governorship primaries of the congress will hold will be announced in due course

He also affirmed the increment of the Governorship nomination form fee, stating that the party had increased it from N5 million to N10 million.

Ologbondiyan urged all aspirants to be aware of inappropriate behaviours and utterances that may cause negative impact that may hindered the chances of the party to win November 16th Governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States.
