Executive Chairman Eket LGA through the office of the superlative Supervisor for Environment tells roadside Sellers/traders along Park and Market road.

At the aim of eradication of road side selling/trading along Park road amongst others in Eket LGA

The Executive Chairman Hon Frank Archibong directed all road side sellers to go inside Urua Nka market and sells or relocates to this newly built market at Ikot Ebok community he pronounced this during the inspection of the market yesterday.

Hon Archibong who gave directives yesterday through the active office of the Supervisor for Environment,Hon Esta Nta to see that all traders selling on the roadsides, outstandingly Market and Park road relocated to this newly built market at Ikot Ebok community.

This is to ensured sanity in Eket metropolis and also to safe their lives from unnecessary accidents and to free the road from unnecessary “Hold Ups”, it will also attracts development to this community by drawing business men and women amongst others to the area.

The Chairman who led the Executive and the legislative council arm for a serious inspection yesterday assured the market women of their security at all ramifications

The market located at Ikot Ebok community, has over Eighty (80) open shades, Ten (10) lock-up shops completed with a Solar Powered Water Borehole and Modern Toilet facilities was constructed by the Agency for Development of Boarders Communities, under the office of the Secretary of the Federation.

The laudable market project was attracted to Eket by the immediate past Member Representing Eket, ONNA, Esit- Eket and Ibeno Federal Constituency, at the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Owoidighe Ekpoattai.

The Chairman, further mandated the Council Secretary, Pastor Aniedi Usoro to fix an urgent meeting between the Village Head of Ikot Ebok community and the Local Government Council, in order to intimate them officially on the Council’s readiness to take over the market.

The Leader of the Legislative council, Hon. Kufre Imo Ekpe, his Deputy, Hon. Victor Ekpugh, Councillor Representing Central 5, Hon. Emem Wilson, Hon. Ekotumoh, Hon. Charity Ikott, Hon. Esta Nta, Hon. Ebitu Michael, Comrade Tommy Enodien, Comrade Godwin Nduaesa, and others all accompanied the Chairman on the tour.
