Uwelu spares part market fire outbreak: Obaseki and Ogbemudia Commiserate with the traders

The Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr. Governor Obaseki, and the Executive Chairman, Egor Local Government Council, Hon. Eghe Ogbemudia, jointly commiserate with traders of Uwelu spares part market.

It will be recalled two nights ago, there was an inferno that gutted a good portion of Uwelu spares part market, which painfully affected a good portion where over a hundred lockup shops where affected.

Even though there was no loss of life, properties worth over hundreds of millions of Naira, where regrettably lost.

On his part, Mr. Governor Obaseki, who was visible pained by the colossal loss coursed by the inferno, assured the traders that his government will do all it can, not just to investigate the remote course of the fire, proffer a lasting solution to avert a reoccurrence but also do all he can to assist the victims.

Mr. Governor Obaseki, was accompanied by the secretary of Government, Barr. Osariondion Ogie, the chief of staff, Mr. Akeyele, and other very tope state government functionaries.

The Executive Chairman, Egor local government council area who lead the governor around the market, on her part, implored the affected traders in the market to put their faith in God for He alone knows why this disaster happened in the first place and advised the affected traders to also trust the Executive Governor of Edo state, Mr. Governor Obaseki, as he is a man who means what he says.

She added that the fire incident was painful and and totally, regrettable.

Hon. Eghe Ogbemudia said she is particularly affected as the inferno happened in her local government council at a specialized market, in a time she was working out solid plans with a view to restructuring the structural outlook of the market and its environs for the grater good of the traders in particular and humanity in general.

She was thankful to God though, that in the end, no life was lost as a result of the fire incident that affected the specialized market.

Those who accompanied the Executive Chairman, Egor Local Government council area include, but not limited; are, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Mrs Betty Omoruyi, Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs. Sandra Osa-Ehigie, Director of works, Engr. Edward Omoregbee, Special Adviser to the Chairman, Hon. Ehiogie Odiase and other very top Egor Local government council management staff.
