Kofo Akinkugbe:
Nigerian woman who owns West Africa’s first smart card plant, exports to 21 countries.

Kofo Akinkugbe is the owner of the first sim production plant in Nigeria called SecureID Nigeria Ltd, a company which focuses on smart card technology and digital security.
The company, which was started in 2015, now exports sim cards to 21 other African countries and is certified by VISA, Verve, and Mastercard.

Kofo also has experience in the banking sector as she joined financial services immediately she got done with her NYSC.

It should be noted that prior to the inception of her company, Nigeria was spending much on importing sim cards from other countries, especially China.
Kofo was given the Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship Mature Business Award for her excellent works and for being a thoughtful and solution-providing businesswoman.
