The Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Oba Ewuare II, on behalf of the members of Edo State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, has expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for honoring the Oba’s request in a meeting on the 4th of July with the appointment of illustrious sons into key ministerial positions and boards.
The appreciation message, signed by the Secretary of the Benin Traditional Council, said the Oba “deeply appreciates Mr. President for Excellency recent appointment of our illustrious sons, Rt. Hon. Dr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu as Chairman, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and, Chief Victor Ekhator as Edo State representative in the NDDC board who incidentally is one of Omo N’Oba’s Enobore Chiefs.”
He also commended the President for his forthrightness and personal respect for the Benin Crown demonstrated further with the heeding of the Oba’s request for Edo to get two ministerial slots following the appointment of Dr. Osagie Ehanire as the Minister of Health and Prince Clem Agba as the Minister of State, Budget and National Planning,
The Oba beseeched the Almighty “to give Mr. President good health and wisdom to continue leading our Nation to the Next Level.”
