State Governments have no business meddling with federal roads!!

State governments have no business meddling with and or fixing federal roads. How would states be fixing federal roads whereas state roads are in terrible conditions and death traps?

Senators and house of reps members from each state should ensure federal roads traversing their states are appropriated for repairs, reconstruction and construction in the annual federal budgets. It is the major responsibility of National Assembly members to perform these duties and oversight federal Ministers and relevant agencies to ensure project implementation.

State governors ought to synergise with National Assembly members from their respective states to fix federal roads traversing their states, irrespective of political party lineages.

FERMA is not performing their duties in maintaining federal roads across the country. FERMA is a rogue federal agency that need to be scrapped and replaced with something better, functional and credible.

NDDC could be given a 52 percent pass mark. However NDDC is bedevilled with funny contractors who do very low quality, shabby and or failed jobs yet such companies are never blacklisted. Only 32 percent of NDDC contractors are actually real and can boast of basic engineering and construction equipments with expertise.

In my home state, Imo only Grapik group, Rudo, Coduc and a few others are credible and delivers quality NDDC road projects. Many others are simply rogue companies and contractors.

We can not continue to decieve ourselves in Nigeria!

Corruption is legendary but we can fight it by putting in place strong Institutions.

God help Nigeria!
