Kogi Guber: Voters Will Reject One Family’s Attempt To Colonize The State, Says Senator Smart Adeyemi

The Director General, Bello/Onoja campaign Council, Senator Smart Adeyemi has said that the people of Kogi state will reject attempt by one family to colonize the state through the backdoor at the November 16th Governorship election.

Senator Adeyemi stated this at a press conference held at the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists secretariat on Friday.

The two term Senator who represented Kogi West in the fifth and sixth assembly said the emergence of Engineer Musa Wada who is an in-law to ex governor Ibrahim Idris (being the husband of his first daughter) and also a younger brother to the immediate past Governor, Captain Idris Wada was an affront and attempt to colonize the state by one family.

He said that from his interaction with the grassroots people of the state, they have unanimously decided to reject this attempt through the ballot in the coming election.

The journalist turned politician, Adeyemi described Musa Wada as being alien to the problems and challenges facing the state and so not fit to be the next governor of the state.

“For instance, Engineer Musa Wada have not been on ground since the inconclusive primary election which threw him up as PDP’s flag bearer, how will he know the problems and challenges in the state, let alone proferring solutions to them,” he wondered.

He also asked PDP to stop blaming APC for its woes as it has been blaming APC for the shooting during their August 29 primary election.

“I will advise PDP to look inward as they are the ones breeding thugs and brigands right from when they were in power in the state “.
