If it was Jonathan he will condemned Kogi elections and called for investigation, Buhari why did you hate kogi People so much? Open Letter to Buhari

Dear President Buhari (I’m not using Baba here because I dey vex). On the day of the Kogi election, I defended you on a platform where a Kogite insulted you for what was going on in our state. Can’t remember exactly where but, wallahi I did because I know you’re human and can’t do more than a human can do. I thought why you should be blamed if some political opportunists in Kogi State decide to assume the position of God. But, you shattered my heart with that congratulatory message. Honestly Sir, I have no issue with the congratulatory message because INEC already declared a winner in the devilish travesty which happened in the guise of election. My problem was and is still you referring to that callousness as ‘well won’. An election where security agents brazenly robbed the people of their rights to vote, well won?
Sir, If there is anyway Kogites offended you, forgive us. I am convinced there is something you are determined to hate us for. Else, in the same congratulatory message where you mourned the dead and sympathize with the injured, you also claimed same election was well won. Well won? Same you who has cried over elections with less inhuman callousness? That war against Kogites for wanting to exercise their rights to reject a thorough failure well won? Well? Won? It can only be because you hate us Sir.
Aren’t you the President? Don’t you have access to information more than most Nigerians? Didn’t you swear an oath to protect us all irrespective of party inclination? If Nigerians thought Jonathan was a failure and replaced him with you in 2015, why is it now wrong for Kogites to replace a failure they have also identified? Had Jonathan showed a quarter of the desperation your party showed in Kogi last Saturday, you would have come a very distant second in the election which produced you. And many of the Governors pretending to love you more than Aisha today would have become formidable Caretakers in prisons.
Your release regarding the Kogi election is to me a very loud and clear endorsement of the same violence you acknowledged which you also stated led to deaths and injuries. Just wondering why else you will endorse violence against us which led to the death of our brothers and sisters if we have not offended you. Even if it was not perpetrated by your party. Aren’t you suppose to be father to all?
Do i need to remind you Sir that Kogi people voted for you in 2015 even when we had a PDP President and PDP Governor? For their love for you, Kogites rejected a sitting PDP Governor for your party in 2015 before the unfortunate death of the candidate. You have always gotten substantial percentage of the votes from Kogi. Why should we be punished for our love for you? The least we expect from you is protection to allow us decide who should be our Governor as we joined in deciding you to be our President. And even when you have failed woefully at providing that protection, you do not mock us by endorsing same callousness.
Mr. President, please setup a secret and independent team to do a random survey of the feelings of Kogites from grassroots up regarding what you have endorsed. Let that team also verify what Kogites have been subjected to in the last four years. If this is how you wish to pay us back, we won’t do more than lick our wounds and pray. Kogites are prayerful people. And we trust at God’s own time, He will answer our prayers.
In that release Mr. President, you simply endorsed the violence unleashed on Kogi and Kogites. You simply endorsed the killings which occurred that day. Even if it was one life that was lost, even if it was the opposition who did the killing, the election becomes disqualified from being well won by the fact that a life was lost. One life gruesomely killed to Allah who created the life is like the whole humanity killed. Because the life of one of the Kogites killed is as important to their families and parents as the life of your Yusuf is to you. Stop by Sir and imagine your son being shot in the head just because he went out to vote and someone now refer to same election as well won. Now imagine if that someone is your President. Imagine that President being one you loved and voted for.
Because I have this love now looking stupid for you and struggle to hate disliking you, I want to slimly assume that spiteful release was by Former Pastor Femi Adesina and you didn’t even see it before it was released. Let me just assume so as consolation.
However Sir, others may forget, Kogites traumatized by hours of gunshots aided by and unchecked by security agents won’t forget. Families of those killed surely surely surely won’t forget. Those injured won’t forget. Of course, God doesn’t forget.
President Buhari, unlike some who have expressed their regret in voting for you in 2015 and 2019. I honestly don’t regret voting for you Sir. Instead, I am glad I did. If nothing, your being President has shown you to be far from that almost perfect human being I personally thought you were. If nothing, your being President has shown that only He who sees every man’s heart know what a man can and can’t do. Your being President has in no small measure helped us not to keep lamenting after your death what a perfect opportunity we missed with your not being President.
A President Jonathan we called all sorts of names while supporting you and seeing you as the best to have ever lived here in recent years would have condemned the brazen madness which took place in Kogi State on Saturday and demand for investigation. Even if he would just have pretended to care. Your clandestine endorsement of the evil against my people which took place on Saturday is painful. Very painful. But, what can we do? You are President. You have the entire Armed forces under your control. You have the police too under your control. In fact, you have the power to kill as you wish if you want But the consolation in it all is that, we and you are all under a Supreme control, the only one with the power to question and bring to account every powerful men. And to Him we will direct our pains and tears.
Without doubt, we know surely that nothing last forever and we will all surely account for all that we do, support, justify, sponsor, endorse, rationalize here. Especially when life is involved.
